During post graduate work, Herb shot film for a PBS Television station. This led to an internship on a feature film and he began working his way up the levels of the camera department. Herb studied and absorbed how numerous accomplished D.P.'s approached their work. Learning from many different photographic styles as well as the interaction with many talented Directors engendered a commitment to learning something new every day. As a D.P., Herb recently completed the rare feat of shooting over 300 episodes of a hit network drama - Grey's Anatomy, where he experienced the shift from shooting film to digital and working with a wide array of top Television Directors.
