Chelo Acosta-Conley grew up in Mexico and speaks fluently in English and Spanish. As a first generation American, Chelo grew up around artists including her hairdresser mother so she knows it's in her blood. The switch from salon to show business was unexpected when a Concert Producer client asked Chelo to translate for Pink Floyd's replacement chef who only spoke Spanish. There she overheard Pink Floyd's Manager explaining the band wanted their long hair cut off. Chelo mentioned she had her scissors with her and would be happy to do it. The band member said if she gave him a good haircut he'd bring the band members in for theirs. Suddenly Chelo was knee deep in Pink Floyd hair and her show biz career started! Chelo went from the music world to Print, Commercials, Features and then Television working in both Hair and Makeup and FX Makeup. She studied at Allen International in London and is a licensed cosmetologist. Equally strong in both Hair and Makeup she often does both while employed as Personal for actors including Noomi Rapce, Patricia Clarkson and Vince Vaughn.
