Script Supervisor Kathryn "Katie" Waters began her career in Los Angeles at Columbia Pictures after graduation from the University of Missouri. While learning the ropes as a production assistant assigned to many different departments, the opportunity to be mentored as a Script Supervisor on a Columbia Pictures feature began what would be a long and successful career. Working at first on sit-coms at NBC, she transitioned to episodic Television and Feature films after moving to Florida to be closer to her family. In Florida, while maintaining a successful and busy career, Katie was recognized by her peers as a leader when she was elected three times as President of Women In Film Florida and then by Governor Jeb Bush when he appointed her twice to the Florida Film and Entertainment Advisory Council where she served as Chairman for two terms during which period the very successful, but short lived, film tax incentive program came to be. As a Script Supervisor, Katie is known as a dependable, diplomatic, calm and skillful Department Head and has worked all over the U.S., in Canada, Europe and Africa. She frequently receives written notes of thanks from Editors, Producers and Directors for her contributions and dedication to their projects. Based in Florida, Katie welcomes distant hire locations.
