ICG Local #600 The amalgram of the technical and the aesthetic is the hallmark of this craft, and with the inheritance of a father's engineering skills and a mother's artistic traits, it was only natural that Cinematography would become Herb Davis' chosen path. Herb's high school hobby of Photography led to a college film production course and any other pursuit became out of the question. During post graduate work, Herb shot film for a PBS Television station. This led to an internship on a feature film and he began working his way up the levels of the camera department. Herb studied and absorbed how numerous accomplished D.P.'s approached their work. Learning from many different photographic styles as well as the interaction with many talented Directors engendered a commitment to learning something new every day. As a D.P., Herb recently completed the rare feat of shooting over 300 episodes of a hit network drama - Grey's Anatomy, where he experienced the shift from shooting film to digital and working with a wide array of top Television Directors. Having chosen to move on while the show was still a hit, Herb looks forward to new cinematic endeavors and challenges.

After finishing his film degree at Georgia State Universty, Josh made the trip to Los Angeles where he spent many years learning his craft and working his way up from set lighting, to gaffing, then into Cinematography and even Directing. Through that journey, he leanred how to truly understand lighting and how to mold and shape it into an image that is rich in emotion, style and narrative acuity. Now after photographing hundreds of projects from Feature films to Documentaries to Comercials, working with brands like Geico, Adidas, Pepsi, Mattel and Spectrum, he finds joy in the collaborative process and comfort shooting with both large crews in heavy lighting situations and more intimate natural light settings. Josh's style is to make everything in life an adventure, every project turns into a journey of learning and exploration and every frame he captures becomes a window into the path he took.
